10/10 for the quality and quantity of Japanese food offerings in the sushi omakase combo. Came to celebrate my anniversary with my partner, left full in both our bellies and our hearts. Extremely hearty experience with the so ever cheerful local chef Gary who never failed to make the experience so comfortable and enjoyable throughout! Shout out to the friendly servers as well. Definitely a recommend for anyone looking for a well-priced and delicious omakase treat. 🙂

Highly recommend this cosy place. Special thanks to Chef Gary and staff who are attentive and rendered good service to all the guests present. Chef Gary has created a homely feel where we settled in quickly. They are not pushy and gave us the best recommendation for our Omakase selection. Food is made exquisitely with fresh ingredient. Many food surprises came up along the way. Especially love the way the food was presented. Love all the sushi and dishes to bits. Both of us felt in love with the place and has began to plan our next meal here. Will be back soon.

I have visited this Omakase more than once and they have always delivered, every single time. If you are looking for true, authentic, Japanese Omakase that serves superior food, this is the place. Their Uni, Wagyu with Angel Hair pasta, Jumbo Hotate and Foie Gras with Prawns are my favourite. This place does them so well that it always feels like the food were having fireworks in every bite. I truly highly recommend this place. Very value for money on the price paid for the quality of Omakase. Definitely will return.

Hakumai is one of my top go-to for Japanese cuisine. For the past 7 years. Sincere service, great tasting food, awesome value for money. Thank you chef and team for being consistent in those areas. Salmon slices so thick and juicy and fresh. Even the tempura taste better than those shops that specialise in tempuras. The prawn so sweet and juicy.

Our very first omakase experience and it was a super pleasant one! Was initially feeling a little intimdated as the seats were right in front of the chef, but chef gary was very welcoming and friendly that feeling didnt last long at all! We were here to celebrate birthday and i was initially a little worried cos im not a sashimi person while the birthday boy is, but oh my gooodnessss this is a totally different quality of sashimi i've ever had. I tried every single one of them & none of them had the fishy or rubbery taste as compared to those you eat at other cheap places. So i ended up eating everything 🤣 Moving on to the signature angel hair pasta, the amount of truffle and uni is so generous and tasted sooo good. No doubt it is his signature dish. Chef also gifted us a free swordfish collar for the birthday and it was super fresh & meaty. As we moved onto the sushi part, all of them were great and nothing to complain at all. Finishing off with his signature foie gras (which he never tried himself 🤭) and it was so rich and creamy. Overall it was a super enjoyable meal & i'll hope to return again!!
